TERMS &CONDITIONS
a. Lessons: Lessons are 1-hour long and consists of Rider grooming, tacking, mounting, tack
adjustments, warm-up time, exercises while mounted, cool-down, untacking, and re-
grooming. Lessons may also include non-,mounted activities including horse anatomy, correct
tack terminology and care, proper horse care, stall maintenance, and feeding.
b. Payment: The fee for private lessons is $60.00 per lesson. Payment is due in advance of the
lesson and may be paid via cash, check, Apple Pay.
c. Cancellations:
• Please advise AMC immediately if the Rider is sick and cancellation is needed. Lessons
canceled within two hours of the lesson time are subject to a $20 fee that is due before the
next scheduled lesson.
• Late arrivals shall be required to pay the full lesson fee and makeup shall not be given.
• AMC reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a lesson at any time for safety-related reasons.
Rider may choose a refund of any pre-paid lesson fee or a makeup lesson.
d. Agreement: upon arrival to first lesson, Rider/parent or guardian must agree to the terms and conditions stated and sign lesson agreement contract.
SAFETY PROVISIONS
a. It is recommended that all riders wear a protective helmet. ANYONE UNDER THE AGE
OF 18 IS REQUIRED TO WEAR A HELMET AT ALL TIMES.

throughout the entire Lesson.
c. Rider and Rider’s guests will abide by any and all safety instructions, regardless of whether
those instructions are contained herein or provided verbally by AMC, which include:
• Alerting the horse to your presence before approaching; always approach from the side.
• Using a lead rope attached to a halter. Do not coil the rope around a hand or other body part.
• Following all instructions related to tying, grooming, and tacking the horse.
• Giving treats with a flattened hand or from a grain pan / bucket.
• Wearing appropriate attire and safety equipment at all times (e.g., helmet, closed-toe shoes
with a heel, long pants, etc.).
• Checking all tack thoroughly for defects or other issues which may create a safety issue.
• No abuse or mistreatment of any animal at K&H Ranch or other facility.
• No disruption or interference with another Rider’s lesson.
d. Rider agrees to notify AMC immediately of the following:
• Medical conditions or physical disabilities which may impact Rider’s safety or ability to
perform correctly during the Lesson. This includes, but is not limited to, a history of epileptic
seizures or heart conditions.
• If Rider is now, or later becomes, pregnant.
e. Rider agrees that Rider is wholly responsible for any expense related to emergency medical
treatment (regardless of whether Rider has accident/medical insurance). Rider hereby
authorizes AMC to obtain emergency care care or transportation.
